Thanks, guys for completely obliterating my favorite tank/rocket launcher combo strategy. Emerald has taught me the importance of mortars and especially bombers. You just didn't have to make the lesson so harsh :P

I only playes single player and learned that bombers are here an awesome offensive weapon. Because the cities are so close to each other, they render rocket launchers and transports totally useless. The key to vicoty for me was (in the second game) to conquer as many neutrals as possible while holding off the enemy, and then just overwhelm him with LAVs and mortars.

i have to disagree with planes. the longer countires are less breachable.

but transports (like on bizzera [sp]) can play a big role, but the heavy forestation meses with the plans.

The longer countries are indeed less breachable, but in my three SP games at Emerald (1 loss, 2 wins) whoever was the first to conquer an enemy ally and get the indemnity won the game. Statistically, it is quite unlikely to get all your countries to be in the distant corners, so at least one country is always very vulnerable to enemy attacks. In this case, keeping the enemy from deploying rocket launchers has saved me (by the same token, it screwed me in the first game).

A planet as Christmas present? 8) Great. It looks beautiful, so much for sure.

Dryfire, Iґll challenge you for a game on Emerald, if you promise you lose this time.

Iґve finished 4 so far, and won 1.

Thatґs why my Lieutenant title is somewhat brittle. Always bouncing up-and-down between Lieutenant and Sergeant. :D

Hi, Mrakobes, move your <*self-censured*> over to Anubis; I think Iґve stalled your advance. :D
