As a side note, we should have a tournament at some point pitting people from different continents together. It could be something like East Europe/Russia vs. West Europe vs. North America. That could be fun.

Letґs see how that would work out for the current tourny:

NORTH AMERICA GROUP:

sgtshaggy USA
Mgrosh USA
Arkangel Canada
Maelstrom USA
Boomer USA
smeags USA
Dryfire USA
Salient Canada
Catlyn99 USA

WESTERN EUROPE GROUP:

Doggy France
Pengu Belgium
Morton HQ UK
Rocklizard UK
Pim UK

RUSSIA GROUP:

Magistr Honna Russia
Mrakobes Russia

CENTRAL EUROPE GROUP:

Coffeedragon Austria

Iґm all for it! Has NOTHING to do with the fact that it makes me an automatic group winner. 8)

tiger is from Russia too...ouch
I see not point to make central europe group separated from west europe group so you Coffee should be in same team as Morton..

If the Devs were included too, that would flesh out the east Europe zone. That would make it so there were a more even number for the three regions. Coffee is a wildcard though, kind of in the middle of it all... It's either Tiger and Vadim, or Morton for him :). Also, with the developers all in one zone with Tiger, that would make for some pretty nasty matches 8). Us North Americans would just have to pick up the pieces!

Leadies and Gentlemen!

Please, be patient.
The current championship is supposed to be INDIVIDUAL.

Don't worry. Wargaming.net has DOZENS AND DOZENS of similar turn-based tournaments under its belt, so soon, when we have a little bit more players, we'll ogranize those "National Teams" tourneys.

Lots of fun and national pride guaranteed.
Usually, the most heated struggle is against New Zealanders and Aussies...
:-)

First let's get started with the individual one!

of course all said above about that territorial groups is just raving...
and withing a current layout the result will be obvius - Morton will just slaughter everybody on his way to final then in final he will defeat some other guy (most probably me).So we can easlly just skip this tournament and handle prize to Morton.

and once again i should say i am worried - too low amount of players signed up for a tournament - barely 1\10 of registered players...a week passed and i dont see increase in numbers.

Donґt worry, be happy. I count 17 participants already. So what if only 20 or 30 take part? Does it mean fewer games? No. Lesser quality games? No. All it means is higher chance for you and me to win a prize. :P

the question is not about tournament only...actually that shows that the among people who bought the game majority not liked it.They register online play meybe one or two games (losing it) then lose interest and go inactive. We see only a small core of really dedicated players and this core doesn't seem to be growing.

Very true... Not all the players have joined the competition, but most of the best players have (excluding Devs and generals). Just means there won't be a lot of easy wins given out. We're in for some pretty stiff competition!

Hey, one thing we could do is message everyone we're in games with to make sure they know about the tournament (assuming thats the problem - people just don't know). If Tiger did that alone, I think most people would hear about it (he's got like 80 games going) :D

You should change title to "forum pessimist". It just shows many are not confident enough yet to take part in a tourny. The number of Captains, Majors and even Colonels is growing, so people are learning something.

Also, I like the game, so it will be a success, because I have excellent taste. 8)

Come now, there are new players! See I'm here!!!! I am in the middle of moving so I'm not having as much time to play as I'd like but that doesn't mean I don't like the game! I'm trying to convince all my friends to get the game too. =P So stop being such a pesimist, people are trickling in!

Hi,

I've added you to list of the subscribed players. If you change your plans, please, write about it.

pessimist = good informed optimist
1)look at list of all registered users
2) look at list of users active last week
compare - like 2\3 of those who registered are inactive
next
3) not even a half of those who are (relatively) active not signed for tournament

Well, I wouldn't be so sure about Mrakobes and Morton in the Finals...
