Coffeedragon:

Of course I know thatґs extremely difficult. Itґs very difficult to beat Tiger even once.

I need an "I beat Tiger, and all I got was lousy 36 points" T-shirt.

Mrakobes:

btw playing Phantom League isnt a bit advantage at all especially on large maps.
look at this replay
- i was playing FNU
- i planned invasion to a rich country (which proved to be enemy main)
- invasion failed miserably due to enemy had first turn and i made several tactical mistakes
- after that enemy captured both my allies on that continent
- but i was able to gain overall superiority and invade that continent again - and finally i won

Mrakobes:

it's another replay for those who yells so much about Red side having advantage of first turn.
This time i was playing Reds against Archangel on Noble Rust
in first turn i disclosed two SA's on "haselnut continent" and attacked two neighboring poor countries. And then i see...dammit.Enemy also had two SA's there but they were one medium and one rich country. So he basically got significant superiority in this region plus guerillas joined his side..At that point i really felt like i am losing this but i managed to create a stalemate (sacrificing lost of units) and hold the line until my troops on other two continents gained superiority. So what advantages i got from my having first turn? actually i got a huge DISadvantage from that cuz i actually "presented" enemy two new allies, and had to retreat.

while it's your decision when to surrender i should notice that you are over-exagerrating in that part about "decimating army" - you still had enough troops in both cases:replays attached -(can u post your replay of our game on Paradize cuz mine is bugged)

Maelstrom:

After the strategic advice we got from this thread, I have been using amphibians a great deal, and have found many ways to put them go good use. Here is a replay of me playing against Mrakobes. In this world war, I happened to have All of my secret allies on the north continent.

Because I didn't need to focus on land units on that continent (except for that sole Medium secret ally belonging to Mrakobes) I got a lot of use out of amphibians and naval transports. Here it is:

Maelstrom Vs Mrakobes. Ok, I was kinda partial to using this one because I happened to win this time ;)
