In an attempt to break the trend of 6 straight replays by Quitch...

This is one of my very first games (and it shows), but it turned out to be a really great one. It started with one-sided fights over various conquests, then settled down into a messy meat grinder with both sides simply trying to throw too many troops to kill at the other guy (which made for some good battles, though).

Between my final attacks, which only worked because of my troops' Dragoon-like mobility, and Icarus's combo of 2 RLs in a Transport that checked my advance for a loooooong time, the replay is also a great demonstration of the power of transports.

This was certainly one of the... slower games I have witnessed. Did he surrender? It seemed a little premature considering the position the game ended at.

Yeah, he surrenderred. I had him on the run and was about to grab a couple indemnities, but you're right, there was still time/territory for a possible comeback.

The telling point is that in the other game of the dual, where I was FNU and he was PL, I was even with him at best, but he still surrendered.

It probably had something to do with this.
