well, hello to everybody

at first i want to congratulate the developers to this really challenging game. to my mind its the most interesting game since incubation.

i have played over one hundred man games on emerald (i'm trial user only) so far and now i have to communicate a problem concerning disclosure. yes, i have read nearly all postings (in ma and man forum) about this topic.

but nevertheless i'm dissatisfied with the f.n.u. or p.l. disclosure respectively.
especially on a small planet like emerald!

now my recommendation:
to reduce the strength of p.l. in the beginning i would suggest the following chronological order:

0. two disclosures of p.l.
0. two disclosures of f.n.u.

1. first turn of p.l. BUT NOT ALSO the 3rd disclosure -> you can block another border with p.l. troups even in the first turn and thats not fair to my mind
1. first turn of f.n.u.

2. second turn of p.l. and only now the 3rd disclosure of p.l.
2. second turn of f.n.u. and also 3rd disclosure

... and so on.

why could such a delay be useful?
the first turn of f.n.u. could be more dangerous for p.l.'s borders

this all should be a constructive criticism only.

at least: maybe i'm not so good in this game that i can win with f.n.u. against a captain+ player. what do others think about?

I like the idea of not allowing PL to disclose on turn 1, but FNU should still disclose as normal. This should help balance the advantage of going first

I think this is a really good idea, and it probably could be implemented pretty easily?
On the small maps, the user going first currently has a HUGE advantage.

You might want to bring this discussion across to the Watercooler for a wider audience.
