I Agree with Quitch. I Love MA! In my opinion, I got what I paid for. I have a choice of many different players to challenge, 3 different single player AI levels, missions, campaigns, a free SP editor and thanks to other users, free SP custom campaigns, in addition to 13 units, several maps (including Emerald and Brimstone, which were free additions), and an updated MP interface that not only shows whom I would be wasting my time on challenging and whom is ready to accept a challenge! Now if only the users would update their profiles to match. From the box to the released patches, I've seen nothing but good things from the Devs. Just with the patches that have been released to date, my Boxed version is more valuable to me than the amount I originally paid... I cant say the same for the Mechwarrior series I used to play extensively, especially after Microsoft took over the rights... Paid 49.00 to 55.00 for each of those brand new and now I wouldn't pay 5.00 for any of them with the exception being MechWarrior 3 (it was the best release in my opinion). Nor would I say the same for the Warcraft, Warlords, Starcraft, or similar 2 sided war game series.
Granted, with all that being said, I'd be foolish not to want more... Its human nature, we are always looking for an upgrade to what we have, and preferably at no additional cost. But to always expect such a thing is ridiculous, afterall, the only promise on the box is that the game will offer continued support, not continued addons or freebies.
In short MA is still as advertised and well worth what I paid.
