Hi all, 2 little questions :
-Is it possible to start a game in hotseat mode and switch to internet mode (... in case you can't finish the hotseat)... and vice-versa ?
-Is it possible to use 1280x800 resolution (wide screen laptop)... and if not, will it be possible in a future patch ?

Thx in advance for your answers,
Cof

Hello!
Welcome to the MA forums.
I didn't quite get your first question...

Ok, let's assume you are playing a hotseat game, but something has happened and you have to swich to the Internet mode.
Just apply the latest patch, available on the official Massive Assault site and there will be an option to save a hotseat game.
Just save it, quit to main menu and connect to the multiplayer.
And vise versa :)

And speaking of your second question - NO.
The only supported resolutions are 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200.
But you could try to manually edit the settings.ini file in the MA root folder, though I think it would cause an error.

Ok, sorry if I got you wrong.

Regards,
Lars

you can not play hotseat games in internet mode - because internet games are stored at server and there is no way to load any save there.(dont know what Lars speaks about)

Cof - since you mention a laptop, I'm assuming you are worried about non-native pixel rez.

If so, it plays great in a window (Options/Graphics/Windowed).

If you were just trying to get the most of your screen - then my note is not informative at all. :)

Thx to all of you for your answers (... even to the drunk ones :)

Regarding the hotseat/internet mode switch... too bad. I hope it will be possible sometime.

To Vadim : personnaly i can't tell except for this 1280x800. I've offered the game to a friend to play with him but i don't remember the other available resolutions. I hope other ppl jump in and give "exotic" resolutions.

Btw, we were up for a Mortal Kombat session and i just wanted to show him the game for some other time... but he immediately liked it and we spent all the time playing MA ;)

The hotseat mode is cool. It's fun to insult each other as we destroy the nme units. A little option to hide secret allies would be cool... although we decided not to worry about it for this time cause it would ruin the fun to leave the screen when the other plays.

Dell, HP, Toshiba, Acer have one or more of those three res :
1280x800, 1680x1050 and 1920x1200
Eurocom
1440x900
VPR Matrix
1280x854
