I am new to massive assault but found it addictive and am considering subscibing. There is just one point which effects newbies like myself, can the maps be played offline against AI to practice as each map requires different tactics so we stand a better chance playing the real thing online?

One little thing, why are the maps called planets not continents?

Not with Massive Assault Network. However, plain ol' Massive Assault (which can be purchased here) will let you do that.

Probably because each map represents a planet, and not a continent. While the smaller maps like Emerald and Brimstone have only 1 continent, the bigger ones (especially Wasserland) have several. Go and check the recent battles on the main site and click on the names of the planets where they appear next to each pair of players in order to see small pictures of them.

Thanks for that I may try out MA first.

For anyone in the UK or europe check out play.com they have MA for Ј5.
Don't worry about the developers losing out, the site will have paid out the full price before selling them on. This way we all win, games should be cheap but not at the expense of the people that made them.

(But then we all know that don't we)

Play.com is definately the place to get most of your computer games from at the moment. They currently offer discount prices on new releases, before bumping them up later... in the same way ASDA is undercutting Play.com on DVDs.

Good God, competitive pricing... and in the UK! :o

If we start to see competitive music prices (and considering what the BMI did to cd-wow it won't be easy) then I'll know this is no longer Britain.
