I've heard that if I buy Massive Assault I get go play free online for 3 months. Is that true or a hoax? I see Amazon.co.uk sells the game for 10 punds: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 22-3934008 Thats pretty cheap for the singleplayer part and online for free for 3 months... |

Massive Assault and Massive Assault Network are two different games - MA is a boxed game geared towards single-player, and has limited multiplayer options that are, I believe, free. MAN is a free download (see http://www.massiveassaultnetwork.com) that is focussed on multiplayer gaming. The free version has no time limit, but limits the maximum rank you can achieve and offers one map. Registering ($6.95 a month) allows you to play on many maps, many of which allow for naval warfare. I'm not completely clear on the interaction between MA and MAN in multiplayer - I think MA players can play against MAN players, but need to register to do so... Perhaps someone else can explain this?[/i] |

MA and MAN players can and do play against each other. The only difference in multiplayer is that MAN gets a few extra goodies like the chat room. |

that 3 free months in MAN was just one of options being discussed BEFORE the release of MAN ...now this is obsolete and matters nothing MA box version owner have to make a choice- play MA multiplayer for free or sign up for MAN and pay the VERY discounted price of 10 bucks per half year though i have MA (had it waaay before the MAN was invented ) but i decided to sign up for MAN because i like MAN features and i want to support the developers - the small company doing a GREAT job to revive the idea of turn based strategy games in our nasty times when the whole word "strategy" is usually associated with RTS... however if someone prefers singleplayer gaming with an occasional few multiplayer games he can as well stay with MA and not care about MAN but for those who play online actively of course MAN is better choice...and btw the price isnt that high... |

I keep hearing about this 10 bucks for a half year... but I see it as 35.95 Am I missing something?? |
