MA is single player focused, since it includes a well supported list of single player missions. It has multiplayer that is free, which is the same multiplayer as MAN, minus some non-gameplay features such as the chat to help find opponents. So yes, MA players should have no problem playing MAN players.

This is only my speculation but it comes down to a pricing plan change imho. Instead of paying the (retail price) $40 for MA, and get single player with multiplayer, the dev's probably decided a subscription based option was more viable for the company. MAN is the new subscription based product, similar to MA but lacks single player.

If you want the single player, and the lacking of some features related to multiplayer, you could get MA.

If you want straight out multiplayer, go with MAN and its subscription based fee.

For me...I'm definitely getting MAN. And I'm very likely to soon get MA as well.

From my expierence, and a good guess, even though MAN is theoreticly cheaper than MA, the developers will get a much larger cut of profits than the boxed retail MA. This is my guess as to why MAN was born. Overhead and costs bring profits very low with a retail boxed game. With MAN being a downloadable game, they save money usually spent on publisher fee's and boxes, cd stamping, the whole costly process in general. With Wargaming taking care of subscriptions via their own merchant, they get a much larger percent of the charge of the subscription, with the minus of the merchant fee's.

They're not abandoning MA as has been confirmed. And if you want single player, go for MA. My guess is if you order MA, ordering it from www.massiveassault.com directly would give a larger cut to the MA dev's than ordering from a seperate retailer.

There's always the option of getting MA and MAN!
Massive Assault (/Network) is a game made from love of strats. And when it comes down to it, every cent you give to Massive Assault / Wargaming.net helps them grow and produce more games/updates/advertising. If you love MA/MAN, support them with your subscriptions and orders.

See you in the opponent list!
