Not being one of the programmers, I don't know how feasable this idea is, or if it's even possible. But, I figured it couldn't hurt to suggest it:
Instead of having a profile restore redownload all of a person's games, instead have the games carry an extra item of data (such as the last time it was updated) that would let the computer know what games needed to be updated and which didn't. That way, when doing a restore, it wouldn't bother to update games that didn't need updating (such as a finished game that hadn't been touched in months), thus saving time and bandwidth.
