 Post subject: AI thinking time

I was talking to Sky Keeper about the AI in PMs, and it seems to me that if the AI is really ever to be able to keep up it needs to go the chess route, complete with thinking times. Human's can often get as long as two weeks to think about their move, so why should the AI be instant?

I'd like to see (if not this time then next) an option to select a thinking time. If I have to wait five or ten minutes while the AI comes up with a god like strike then I'm happy with that. It'd be nice if it gave you the option for the game to shrink into a system tray icon while the AI thinks, leaving me free to browse the web, listen to some music... it'd be just like multiplayer :)

Either way, without more thinking time the AI can't get close to a human, and the amount of time you're prepared to wait is entirely subjective. It seems like a very logical option to include.

Play in windowed mode. Works well.

I'm for the thinking time, atm it seems to have trouble with sinple thing and i've seen ti miss countless opportunities to destroy units (sometimes not even moving units)
