Besides, the Demo version is performance-optimized and simplifies the process of registration. In addition, the new Demo presents the Mentoring system that stimulates newbies to learn battle tactics from the strongest players of MAN 2 universe.

"The development team has been working around the clock to deliver something gamers have never experienced before," said Victor Kislyi, CEO and creative director, Wargaming.net, Inc. "Massive Assault Network 2 is truly the next generation of PC gaming in turn-based strategy genre, and I'm excited to present this highly anticipated masterpiece to the fans."

Why don't you send registered players notification of the registered version download location? Does it hurt to install the demo version over a registered version install?

If installing from scratch on a new pc what files are required? I am having problems with several games on a new install claiming the map.dat files are missing. I installed the registered version listed here as well as the map pack 2 from another post.

sorry, the missing files are swamp.dat, eden.dat and crateus.map

If you installed the map pack, how the maps can be missing?

If you have already had 233 full, you need to install 243wn_r.
The Demo version does not contain file map_data.dat which allows to play on all maps even if you have got all ones. Without the file you cannot play on some maps.

Only 243wn_r or full version contains the file.
Make sure that you have got all 25 maps (maps folder, 25 files).

for existing players reinstalling the game, are the above files and the map pack able to be found on the massiveassaultnetwork website? i've searched there but can only find the demo to be downloaded.

and to clarify, this web address: http://www.massiveassaultnetwork.com/man2/download.php
only has a link to demo file, not any other files, such as the map pack.

AFAIK if you want to reinstall the game you can download the demo version and the map pack from here:
http://massiveassaultnetwork.com/downlo ... p_pack.exe

Now you can restore your profile and all should be fine.

But this map pack is only useful for registered players. Trial players won't be able to play on these maps! I think it's all about saving traffic.

thanks for the link

the link is hidden to "save traffic" is it?

Yes, I think so.

There are 30000+ players and maybe about 500 subscribed. Only these 500 players need this map pack. If you make it available via website i'm sure a lot of trial players would download the map pack anyway regardless they can't use it until they subscribe too.

Even trial players may need all maps in order to watch any games (chat eye icon).

in that case, is there a reason why the map pack is not easily found? It should be a clear download link under downloads. Currently only the demo itself is able to be found without knowing the exact path.
