Post subject:  Massive Confusion

Hello everyone.

I am writing this email on behalf of several friends and myself who are inactive players of Massive Assault and recently received the email regarding MAN2. This has caused mass confusion among us. I have read all of the postings in this forum and still I have several questions;

I transferred my old online account to the new server using the 1_XXXXX setup explained in the email. When I logged in I was displayed as a lifetime member. The display made no mention of 20 games nor did it give any indication my membership would expire May 3rd. After reading several related postings I am still unclear on this issue. Will I need to pay to continue to play this game online in the future? What is the difference between what I have and a trial version?

I have MA version 1.2.204 installed. MAN2 seems to be its own stand alone game not relying in any way on the original install of MA. Does this mean that MAN2 will give me access to all of the features in MA games released after the original MA that I currently have installed such as new units etc? If not how will different game versions and release titles interact on MAN2? Why is there a filter for people with older versions? does this mean that features and units are available to some players but not others?

What is a demo map and how is it different from any other map?

Some of my gamming friends attempted to download the MAN2 patch and the file was incomplete although it did not appear to be during the download? Is this a frequent problem? Where can you find troubleshooting information for MAN2 besides the forums?

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer these questions. See you on the battlefield.

Yes, you have to pay if you want to play MAN2 in the future.

You have a time/game limited full version of MAN2 with all planets and all units. In trial version you can play only on one planet and not with the whole unit set.

MA/MA:Domination were designed for single player primarily and such as MAN MAN2 gives you the full online multiplayer experience on 25 maps with up to 42 units of all types.

MAN2 is "standalone" and does not interact with anything.

Mostly you will need to have the newest version installed in order to play with all new settings/ see all changes. For instance you must need version 2.0.243 to see the new experience based ranking system.

Yes, in trial mode you can play only on one planet and not with the whole unit set. Registered players have full access to all features, maps and units.

This demo map is a small one. You can only use a trimmed-down unit set.
