My suggestion for a new map: Walhalla.

Image
Terrain

Terrain and borders, transparent

Borders, opaque

It is 120° symmetrical. If you need it, I could try to convert it with your map editor (see above).

I would like to see a few symetrical maps, (I know its not realistic, but who gives), both players have identical areas, so no more losing because of bad map positioning... let the best man win. (oops, sexist remark, let the best person win:)

if you really wish a total symmetry you need to change the centre of that map: 2/4 countries with medium capitals or a big neutral country just like on Crateus map

I know there are times when all of us have had layouts that really suck and this usually leads to defeat, if our opponent is better than average. But it has been my experience that in most cases the player that plays the best usually wins, regardless of the layout. Just look at the win/loss record of any of the top players and you will see far more wins than random good map layout would produce.

Another easier way to play the changes brought to impliment SETPIECE or "board" game I had the idea to ask. The same allotment will be re-play will no longer be secret and secret allies.
