A terrible bug in statistics server was fixed last night.
All ratings were re-calculated.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THIS Disaster??? :evil:

why i've more than 600 points less in the ranking and why im now 12 positions lower???

which is YOUR PERSONAL way to recalculate ranking??? Tell us please!

Why you did not tell it to the community of players BEFORE to make this stupid thing!???
why do YOU have penalized ONLY some players (like me)....???

I love this game since 2004 and i wish to go on playng more and more with correctness...never seen things like this before....i hate these authoritatives ways.

Everytime someone ends game, server re-calculates all M.A.N. 2 games, using ELO-like formula, containing "maximum rating" constant.

Because of error in code, when top player's rating became too high, ALL OLD GAMES were re-calculated and veteran players like you had received extra-points for them.

When i fixed this bug, rating became fair.

Anyway, we can return it back at any moment.

Hi guderian27!

As Jedi_Knight described above, there was a bug in rating calculation. After bug fix, all ratings were recalculated. Due the nature of the bug ratings were reduced and reduced unequally. We are not happy that it happened, but it has to be done.
All calculations are transparent, you can visit http://massiveassaultnetwork.com/man2/man_games.php?player_alias=Alternos and check it.

Dear Jedi Knight your irony is not much funny...which players should vote
when im the only one to be penalyzed so heavily???

The fact is that i bought this game with its original rules... right now i find different rules so that this is not my game anymore!

Im sorry for that because i live in a place where EVERYONE gives his contribution when/if it's time to change some rule regardin ALL...
another thing i wish to say: dont you think that all MAN players are necessarily young persons who could have not much care about the game in itself, some part of us are adult people with its everyday-life, family sons and troubles like every people in this world...sometimes we have not much time to dedicate to this game, sometimes a little bit more....so it's not good to penalyze a player only because he has a nice rank (skill-based) with JUST 2hundreds of game played....
Well..I hope you can fix this terrible bug once again, so that all the things will return fair also because i hardly can believe that I have received all these extra-points while i played only 169 games when many other players(veteran like me) played 300, 400, 500,600 games and much more....how many extra-points did got them????

There is a kind of misunderstanding here. None of the rules have been changed, but Jedi have fixed implementation of the rules, so only now implementation follows the rules. Before bug fix players have got random extra bonus and it was not in the rules. We are sorry that your extra bonus was one of the highest, but what kind of choice do we have? To fix the bug and makes things fair or to include the bug to the rules?

Imagine that we have been restored that extra points, will anyone be happy with knowledge that rating reflects not skills, but random odds?

We have investigated your case, guderian27 and we have found that there was the other bug during the fixing of the initial bug. Secondary bug caused that huge rating drop.

Now both bugs are fixed and rating has been stabilized.

So you have helped us to make things right. :wink:

At least the dev's had the courage to admit something went wrong and did fix it!
