I'm wondering in how far your SA's are really a secret against the AI players.. Since the pc chooses your SA's, it wouldn't be hard for AI to "know" wich are yours..

So does AI knows wich SA's you have, and if so, does it uses this info for the moves?

I would think that, based on the way the ai plays, it has no knowledge of anything other than the disclosed countries. But, even if it does, it is suppose to be a learning tool where a player picks up the basic game play and then moves on to better players. I would have to say that if someone has played a lot of games and is still having trouble beating the ai, they are not learning very much about the game because even if the ai knows the whole map layout, it does not use it to its' advantage.

Agree with the "learning" thing. I was just wondering, since I saw the AI making an opening move (on a map that I hadn't played much on) that was rather dumb if it had known (& reacted on the knowledge) my sa..
That's when I started to wonder wether it has the "knowledge" or not..

Thinking of the computer and the AI as one and the same is the biggest mistake non-programmers make. You have to specifically tell the AI everything, the AI cannot "take a peak" at other functions simply because it's code and that other function is code, you would need to write a function which allowed the AI to access that information.

Basically, your reasoning is appaling :)

AFAIK, the AI does not have access to any information you don't.

He, I got the point that AI is just the programation.. But it is possible that there is a function to peak the SA's, I was just wondering IF this was the case or not.
