I am trying to make a new profile (my first) and each time I do so I get the response: Could not create new profile- Database error.

I altered all of my info a few times just in case there was someone with the same username or something like that and I continue to get the same error.

Are the registration servers down or has anyone else had this problem? I know the game itself isn't down as the main web page shows 18 currently online...

Thanks in advance.

What alias did you enter? May be, one already exists.

Hi, I'm not able to create a new profile too. Have tried four different nicks but cannot get through - Game server has returned error: Database error.

I'm using MAN 2.0.197beta ...

Hello,

I just checked your server status and it says you logged in few minutes ago. Is everything fine now?

Btw, have you installed the latest patch?

yes, sorry for that confusion, I thought the version I installed had the latest patch on it

So now I've got the latest patch and it's all workin sweet :)

Just a quick off topic question....
If I register the game can I play it over LAN with my Dad and Brother?

Cheers,
Danz

If you purchase lifetime membership you will be able to play from your profile on any planet with other registered pllayers via Internet.

Your Dad and Brother need to register their own profiles (it is possible to play from the same Pc with multiple profiles). But if you want to play with each other you still need to connect to Game Server to send turns via Internet. This is internet only game and we don't have LAN or Hot Seat in it.

Best,
Nick

and how many players can play? only 2? (i guess that means no Coop)
Cause i cant really justify spending 120 USD (156 AUD) Dollars on a game so all three of us can play it, no offence.... :(

Its a good game though, good work ;)

You can play in trial mode for free as long as you want.
You also can purchase one registration and play together (at different time of cause) from one registered profile enjoying all the benefits of registered version. If paying for 3 registered profiles is too much, you can stop with 1 for now.

There's no coop. mode, since it is always you and your opponent who plays any single battle.

We're glad to hear you like MAN2. Thanks a lot - we keep working to make it even better!

Why limit your gaming to just your dad and brother? When I first started playing i also had in mind that it would be a good way to interact with my own brother who lived quite far away. While we played quite often, I soon found that there were many, many other people to challange and play. If you only play a couple of people you will quickly learn each others style and the games will soon become uninteresting because one of you will probably start winning all of the games. If you enjoy the game, why not purchase it for yourself. You will be able to play all of the maps with all of the options and you can still play your brother and dad on any of the trial maps. If they find that they also enjoy the game, they have the option to purchase as well. As far as team playing, there are many reasons that this will not work with MAN2

My wife plays too (*), a little, and she looses (against me, indeed). "Domination: Massive Assault" is a way to not register her account (or: not to register yet, who knows?) and to play on other maps. Also: there's tools to allow LAN play (for this game or other games) through the net and two distant LAN/computers. I understand than MAN2 is first intended for Network play (see 'N' in "MAN2"); my advice: if you want a cheap and limited MAN2, just buy D:MA. :) Then, as I did, you get addicted, and you'll register for MAN2 too!

(*: If you find her MAN2 alias, you win the mean to challenge her! 8) )

The idea of buying the MA retail box is a good one. You can probably find it for around $10 or so. You will have 8 maps and if you buy 2 games you can play either over the net or a lan game or you can just buy one and play a "hot seat" game with whoever you like on one computer.

But do not forget Domination is not supported any more and a separate Domination Game Server will be turned off soon. The only game which will be constantly supported and imroved is MAN2. Though we have done a lot, PERFECTION HAS NO LIMITS, yet more to be done.

Art, do you have any idea how long the man server will be up and running? It is my understanding that it also will be shut down shortly after MAN2 comes out of beta.
