Just realized that the game grid (ie little circles) run in a diagonal pattern. Yuck. That would be fine, if the 3D view of the landscape and units were also...

i know what he means he thinks that the diagnal rows of the little spot circles (when moving)
are ugly.

Drakken, how would you suppose it should be changed ? I think it doesn't matter how pretty it looks, because it works very well.

Actually, how it looks means everything. Why not just have a black and white checkerboard then? I don't think it's a matter of showing any sort of grid. This actually would make the game too easy.(ie: His mortar can fire 2 spaces, so I'll stay 3 hexes away) I haven't thought up many alternatives, but one would be to have small arrows flashing in each direction a unit could move when it is selected during the movement phase. Just an idea.
And for the record, I still feel like the unit size is too large. If I want a close up, I can zoom in)

I don't follow your idea of the problem...
You don't like this helper's appearance or you don't like grid-based moving?
