We will be designing lots of new maps soon and we want to know your opinion.

Here is the place to share your thoughts about Planet Trinity.

BTW: The first variant was created by Artanis, and then was reworked to add extra terrain that changed the warstyle dramatically :)

My opinion is to make maps like bizzara twice out of four, one map like twin islande and one like trinity or wasserland. My point is i love the long ones but when you get into the 30th turn it takes me up to a hour or more to do one turn. Din't take this as complaining cause i love all the planets but 50% small 25% Medium 25% large. I really do hope to see more maps soon.

I'd love to hear something about strategic side and terrain layout too, not only the size of the map. (BTW: it's ranked as medium - it has the same size as Anubis).

i really like the fact that most of the beaches are desert, preventing instant channel crossing.

maybe this will promote the use of tritons more.

as for the narrow channels, love 'em. will make moving and attacking with a large naval force interesting, what with all the death turrets and artillery lining the shores.

Some of the roads seem pointless though, like in the top right-hand corner.

Oh yeah, some serious Triton use will be seen on this map. The narrow channels make carriers an option, but on the other hand, they also make towers an option. I anticipate some brutal matches on Trinity.

I'm not quite so sure about the tritons... They will have their uses, but all it takes is a couple destroyers to block up a channel and cut off their attack route. In that way this map may play similar to Anubis.

Another thing, with such narrow channels even ground units will often be able to harass sea units (also like Anubis). Then again, there aren't as many places for RLs to hide. With this in mind, I don't think RLs will find too much use on this map. 1st, because of their fragility they are at a very high risk of naval bombardment; 2nd, they move slow and are very poor at conducting naval landings. To use them effectively, you'll first need to establish naval power. Then they could give good support by firing across channels at the enemy.

With so many capitals so close together, planes are going to be vital. Carriers will be at high risk of bombardment from shore, though, so you'll have to be careful when using them.

After some play on this map, I have a couple comments.

Doubling the number of secret allies in the game drastically changes it! On this map, its hard to plan ahead, as every round your opponent discloses another ally somewhere, and your plans have to change. Its hard to track where enemy allies could still be early on, as chances are they are Everywhere.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but definately makes for a different game :) Not sure yet if I like it... it will take a long time to finish a game and make a final decision though.

I think the price for the game is high, but I don't mind paying for something I like. But since I am a paying customer, why couldn't I play the other maps as a single player? I'd be able to give better feedback on the newer maps.

Trinity was killer, very fun! A couple of Battleships were a waste of money, as the design intended. Also, it took a while to reach some of the more remote countries, so there were reserves late in the game. Very good.
