I liked the new unit purchase windows. Now you don't have to scroll at all (or just a little) and the arrangement seems logical to me. Land units, sea units, and special purpose units (team specific, air, stationary).

Yeah, the Stats window required some squinting to figure out which unit was which.

As far as 2 demos, I've seen this format (single player one and multiplayer one) used many times lately for games coming out.

Yeh, tutorial is great. However it is defferent from tutorial in full (russian) version. For example, there is no last mission about World War. Very strange.

multiple demos is usual, guess to keep the demos smaller in size, if you are only after info about solo/multiplayer then it helps you out.

The land and sea division wasn't too bad, though IMO amphibians should be both on the land AND sea screens, as should naval transports. I buy them alongside ground troops, not naval forces.

The last screen is a mismash of "Not sure what to do with this" units. WTF is the chopper doing there? Wasn't the bomber on the first list? Not to mention that it wasn't always obvious which picture was which unit. And what the heck is that + supposed to be??

I like the unit purchase menu. It's better than scrolling and it still takes minimal space. If after playing one World War you can't figure out where each unit is located, then you've got bigger issues than that menu.

+ probably means "additional". You have ground units, Naval units and additional units.

Sure you can probably argue that some of the units are misplaced (IMO, the bunker should be a land unit), but really...if this is your biggest complaint, life is pretty good.

No UI is ever going to please everyone. But is it usable, does it use minimal space and does it have an easy learning curve? Most definately.

Naval transports should be a "ground" unit...do I smell a troll?

They've divided the units into categories that match where they are deployed, but that's not how you buy units, you buy them according to use, and do you use NT for land or sea battles? I'd argue they see more action in the former than the later.

If I buy a NT it's normally along with ground troops, not ships.

So the developers should have looked at every unit and tried to think of the most likely combinations and made sure those units are on the same page?

I guess I just don't think like that...I want a standard land unit, I look on the land unit tab. I want a unit that goes on water...the naval unit tab. Other units? The "other" tab. The first time I looked for amphibs was on that last tab since they are sort of miscellaneous, IMO. But now I know where to look and can find them quickly. That's all that really matters.

I was using it as example of why a units element is not much use as a dividing category in this game.

I agree, it's a small thing, but that shouldn't change whether it gets raised or not, people are free to feel as strongly, or as little, as they wish.

where can I download the multiplayer demo? The site only lists the single player mirrors and nothing for multiplayer.

There is also multiplayer demo! You can play Beotorum map with all the available units. And Beotorum is very good medium planet.

Also you can play secnarios and campaign with such units partially.

Where can I find this Multi-player Demo? Or better yet, when can I expect to see it available for d/l? I have always enjoyed MA and would love to experience the new units on Domination, but currently the SP Demo doesn't afford me that opportunity.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! :)
Thanks,
