We've sent all necessary files of the patch to Matrix in morning of December 18th, 2003. They should modify executable file in some way to implement copy protection system there. And only after that we or they may make that patch. Guys at Matrix Games are sleeping two weeks and a half and I don't know when they are going to wake up. As for me - it is unacceptable. Our Polish, German and British partners were on line even December 31st... May be I do not understand somewhat as an European guy, but it seems that Americans are too lazy...

It's probably not safe to generalise. The Matrix game "Squad Assault" was published in the UK by GMX, the same company that publishes Massive Assault. We waited weeks (after the US one was released) for the UK patch, only to finally find out GMX didn't have anybody capable of doing the patch. Matrix took it on, and got it out in a day or so.

That said, I hope you US guys get the patch very soon.

The game is playable in box version very well. There are no critical bugs found and fixed in this patch. It has only improvements and enhancements. I'm concerned about Matrix late on the patch matter too. But, please, do not get angry on it. I hope this issue will be resolved soon as soon Matrix wakes up.

lately i've been noticing some major yet random slowdowns in game.

oddly enough this does not happen in any other games i play (AAO, CoD, BF1942) which are much more demandign on teh system.

I'm gonna defrage and see if that helps but it's very odd.

i play chess when i want to compete with a person. it really matters then.

i want to play ma against the computer so i can play a relaxing game which doesn't stress my brain too much. i also would like to learn the boards by playing against the ai. what sounds nice is having an ai that makes a less than perfect move once in a while. the current ai is pretty darn unforgiving.

not much relaxing there. lol

love the game, but can't wait for the patch. please answer me this, is the ai adjustment in the patch a case of the ai not looking so far ahead, or does it make less than perfect moves sometimes even tho it may see the better move??

Well it would be nice to have an update from Matrix. It's going on 4 days since they were due back and no response from them. I think I'll send them a nice e-mail... :)

after you try a few worldwars in multiplayer (challenge me if you wish to try) then you will feel a HUUUUGE relaxation while playing against AI :D
because current AI is stupid and very easy to beat (at least in worldwars)
