Do you guys have any good tips on how to defend against several bullfrogs? I realize rocket launchers and weapons platforms might be an effective counter-measure, but are there any other effective ways of fending off these brutes?

depends what's backing them up, lavs and rockets do well as they can only kill 1 lav a turn. If they're being used well then it'll be hard to kill them so just kill what u can and use spare units to weaken them. The fact that they can't fit in land transprots also lets u avoid them some what

You gotta use terrain to your advantage, if at all possible. Bullfrogs on open terrain are terrible to fight... Basically you don't have much to do but whittle them down with heavy losses without impeding their mobility somehow.

I like to blockade them with lavs and tanks while my rocket launchers are safe at the back.

Thanks for sharing your strategies, guys.

I kind of feel the Bullfrogs make Domination a little more unfair than Massive Assault was. PL allready had the advantage of going first, and now they have these beasts as well. I do appreaciate the new units that the FNU got, but they don't really measure up too well, I think. Maybe I'm just not using them right, but when my opponent manages to get several bullfrogs in the same army, he pretty much walks over everything I've got.

That's is the answer. He walks with bullfrogs. No land transports. if you can make your own force mobile you can evade fighting on open terrain.

in narrow passes that are easy to block, you may force him to fire at your lavs while damaging them with aviation and RL. you may use an occasional heavyBot to finish damaged bullfrog, if your heavybot won't be killed by return fire.

I see, but unfortunately for FNU many of the maps have lots of open terrain and few narrow passes. In cases where there's long and well-defined frontlines, bullfrogs are extremely hard to defend against, for me at least.

But yeah, I do see your point.

As is often the case, when up against heavy opposition, not just bullfrogs, you have few options but to TRY to amass a decent attack force with enuff transport to get it on quickly, powerfully, destroying at least one whole bullfrog instead of trying to whittle them down....
but yes....this is only one example of seemingly imposible situations in this game....there are certain worlds where I seem to always get the small island and therefor inevitably lose....I hate Eden for that reason.....
but the smaller worlds are easier to try and manipulate.....
hey....sometimes you are given the losing hand ....kind of like playing poker or something....learning how to lose happily is the real challenge I deal with....
