Does it cause any problems to play one turn on one computer and then play the next turn on a different computer?

You can restore profile again on a different computer.

I have done it - no problems - when you restore it on the second machine - it gets all the info from the server and your turn is there for you. If you go back to the 1st machine - it then gets the next turn as well - you can swap between machines no problems.

you really don't have to restore your profile. I have played for years on 2 different computers and have never had any problem, each time you enter the game the server updates your games with the latest turn. The only thing that might cause you some confusion is if you win or lose a game on one computer-- that game will still be listed in your game que on the other computer. All you have to do is highlight the game in question and click on the repair tab and it will be removed. Much better system than man1 where playing on 2 computers could cause problems if you were not carefull.
