I upgraded to version 1.2.197 from 1.2.196..
After this upgrade I am unable to disclose my allies in any game... I hear the sound, but the unit bar does not appear.. As soon as I click anywhere on the map the game drops out to windows..
Another thing I notice is that I can disclose 1 of 2 allies when starting a new game... When I disclose the second, the same thing happens..

The exact same thing just happened to me in my game against Agon 5...in fact, that's why I'm looking at the forums at the moment, because I was about to post a new topic mentioning this.


Edit: I just tried it out vs. the AI, and the second initial disclosure crashes the game to desktop there as well.

Further Edit: It appears that re-applying the 1.2.196 patch works to fix it.

It seems that the game is not bug-free yet. There is no excuse for lack of environment testing and extensive debugging. This game with as many problems as it has had should never have been released as it is now.

Programmmers: you all have a job to do.

Fix broken game problems.
Fix bugs and crashes on other systems with other processors
Improve rendering engine efficiency
Fix the ogg vorbis problems (skipping in game)
Add more single player and multiplayer features
And more...

What are you yammering about, this is a BETA, we are testing it to find the bugs of which you speak. Can't you see in the top-left corner of the screen it says MAN.beta while playing?

This is a beta, doofus :P

Your skipping for music, is that with Hardware sound enabled, and it goes away when you enable Software and load a new map? If so, what's your soundcard and driver, I have the same problem.

I have the Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer card.
For some reason, software sound doesn't even work, and hardware sound does.

My other comments are not about M.A.N., they are about Massive Assault.

My system has the following specifications:
AMD Duron 950Mhz processor
nVidia GeForce 4 Mx420 (64mb pc133 memory)
512mb pc133 ram
24x8x32 Lite-on CD-RW drive

I'd upgrade my system if I could, but I can't.

I stand on what I said earlier.

We almost sure that most of crashes are not by our failure but Hardware and Drivers :) (however we are trying to reproduce some crashes in our test-lab)

Our engine has good performance and scalability. For example I'm playing on RivaTNT 64M Vanta (with 16 Mb of memory). I've only minimized graphix settings.

More feature in single player have been mentioned in other forums (i.e. 3 to 4 player capability)

For multiplayer, ability for (in my case) to use another computer to host internet play.

I have my computer. I surf the web on my mom's computer. My computer has massive assault on it. Mom wouldn't want Massive assault on her computer. My computer is not on a network or connected to the internet, mom's is.

I can manually carry files between computers. I would like to be able to play massive assault in a remote kind of way even though I have no connection to the web.

Also, many others seek lan play ability.
Those are things to speak of...

i'm still keen on the idea of being able to customize games more at the start, eg changing reinforcement.SA values, maybe giving each side an extra boost on turn 1 etc.. (thi i mainly want this to be able to make the games biased one of the sides for the clan war.
