Wargaming.net updates Massive Assault Network with beta of new patch v1.2.207. This patch fixes some glitches, plus it makes the built-in chat more flexible.

Below is the complete list of improvement:

3) A number of enhancements have been added to Chat
4) Special symbols are now forbidden for Aliases
2) Message box has been added to “Victory” screen when opponent surrendered

The patch is available for download at:

Sincerely,

Nick, what, if any, issues are there with installing this patch and playing against folks without the patch installed? I assume there are no issues but just want to be sure before installing the patch.

Found a bug: the Battleships' health bar shows with red dots instead of green. As far as I can tell, it's just cosmetic and otherwise everything plays the same.

Hello,

There should be no issues when playing against players with no patch installed. You're in advantageous position since patched version is supposed to be more stable and reliable.

Please keep up posted with any bugs found and patch. The best way to report them is to submit a ticket at:
http://www.massiveassaultnetwork.com/support.php

Regards,
Nick.

Nick, I've noticed that recently MAN has started to lock up on me an awful lot. I usually run MAN in a window so that I can keep it up in the background and toggle over whenever a turn comes in. Lately, I can't load up a turn without the game locking on me after the replay, but before I get to make my move. So, I went to windowed mode and was able to move in several of my games before it locked up again doing the same thing. Each time I have to close the program and restart again. Let me know if there's any info you'd like me to send on this. I hadn't seen this at all until I installed the beta patch.

Yeah me too. Usually MAN crashes once, maybe twice in a day, now it crashes a lot. As in, it crashed six times yesterday. That's just counting the times Windows popped up with that damn message window stating that MAN.exe encountered a problem and needs to shut down.

I've noticed the exact same problem that Deac describes, and I've never had a lockup before this patch.

Additionally, after finishing a turn the game will sometimes freeze while in the middle of sending it back to the server... I'll tab to desktop and close the program manually, then restart it and logon. At that point I'll find that my turn has been sent successfully. Still, makes me a bit nervous. I'd definitely say that this build is less stable for me.

Absolutely, I can't even finish a game now. It freezes my system every time. I can't even Alt-Tab in and out or Ctrl-Alt-Delete, I have to hard reset the computer, which is a pain and dangerous for the hardware. Time for an uninstall-reinstall I guess w/out this patch.

Yeah, reinstall and go back to the 205 patch.

I'll get right on that then.

EDIT: Very nice, much improved over 207, but it's still a bit unstable on my system, so I'll just stick with 205 for the time being.
