This is a good example of how the inner communication route can be used to successfully for creating
local superiority in a "long-frontline" battle. The Free Nations forces have launched total offensive on the
Phantom League’s positions along the entire frontline. However they have to go through the desert
terrain that considerably slows down their advance. The Phantom League’s commander (having
considerably less forces) has decided to turn this into his advantage. He formed his entire defense line
from Smallfoots, which will hold the ground for a while - thus winning valuable time for the counter-
offensive preparation. The turnpike running along the Phantom League’s line plus UPS land transports
allowed the revolutionary general to concentrate the whole of his Heavy Artillery and assault bots (called
Ostriches) on the left flank - thus delivering a heavy blow to the right wing of the enemy. The only
F.N.U.’s chance to save the situation is to change the direction of the attack. However the desert will
make such a maneuver too difficult to perform, so the League has almost had its victory in hands.
