Sep 30: Amphibian Outflanking

This is a short one. That was a usual ground skirmishing across the border: F.N.U. (metallic units) has a line of LAV’s backed up by Mortars and there is approximately the same Phantom League’s OOB - Smallfoots backed up by Scorchers. However, Phantom League reserved some revenue money for a couple of turns and purchased a couple of long-range Annihilators (Rocket Launchers), which significantly shifted the balance. Annihilators were deployed on the peninsular separated by water, so that even if F.N.U. makes a hole in the line of Smallfoots (for example with Tanks), they will not reach the vulnerable Annihilators so easily. F.N.U. had limited financial resources, their revenue was blocked by Phantom Leagues’ advance into the country’s territory (this leads to revenue collection blockade). The only troops they could recruit were Guerrillas (due to Phantom League’s invasion) - and they spent these limited resources wisely - they recruited Amphibians, which immediately crossed a small bay separating them from the Annihilators and destroyed one of them at once (you can see the last seconds of its life burning in flames). The second Annihilator is trying to escape but it soon will follow his brother-in-arms.

The conclusion is the following: whenever you invade a country (enemy or neutral) - always keep in mind that the enemy can use the Guerrilla resources of mobile ground-and-water-moving Amphibians and attack your vulnerable units, such as Rocket Launchers, Transports, etc, which may turn out very painful for you.
