Here you can see one of those really thrilling Massive Assault’s moments. The Phantom League had commenced large amphibious operation ferrying several divisions of Bio-T’s into the country of Virat (you can see a couple of Turtles (naval transports) still working on the background). The F.N.U.’s forces are still holding the country, but it’s not for long. The Free Nations general has concentrated the whole of his forces along the coastline to match the amphibious attack - and he has left the narrow mountain pass in his rear undefended. He even ordered the city’s garrison to the frontline (it’s quite a risky decision when you have Bombers in the city). The Phantom League’s commander-in-chief exploited this mistake properly - he disclosed the League’s Secret Ally situated north of Virat (which in fact was alone shocking for F.U.U.) and moved the newly deployed Bio-T’s into the abandoned capital through the undefended pass - the Bombers were all destroyed (see the explosions above the city). In addition the Rocket Launchers and Mortars are under direct strike. The F.N.U. is obviously loosing the battle for Virat.

However, wise commanders usually consider the possibility of a Neutral country across a narrow pass to be the enemy’s Secret Ally. Thus often it makes sense to block that narrow pass with one or two light units - just in case. And guarding a city with your Bombers in it - is almost a rule of thumb.
