The F.N.U. (metallic units) admiral is trying to force a passage through this narrow sound - and you know what? - the task appeared to be a little bit harder than he had expected. Despite the evident F.N.U.’s naval superiority (five Battleships vs. three Firestorms) he will probably lose the whole of his squadron unless he withdraws it immediately. The combined power of enemy Scorchers, Annihilators, Death Turrets and Pteroplanes has already converted the channel into the "sea cemetery". You can see the hulk of the sunken Battleship lying on the seabed and another one that will join her very soon.

Obviously the navy cannot overwhelm the fire of the coastal batteries without the assistance of land forces (to say nothing of a couple notable exceptions that took place in Massive Assault’s history). The Free Nations generals have already moved small contingents of Tanks with artillery support along one shore of the channel but the Phantom League has already gathered a division of Smallfoots with a Death Turret and a Scorcher behind to match them. The outcome of the whole battle is yet unclear. The F.N.U. have additional marines detachments on board of its Naval Transports that can join the fray in the seacoast. However, the obvious thing is that the fighting will be long and bloody.
